This year’s Showcase magazine brings together our top listings from across Tasmania, from the inner-city abodes of Greater Hobart and Launceston, grand residences like Greycliffe and Clynevale in the North and the coastal retreats that come alive during the warmer months.

The Tasmanian property market in general has witnessed a significant resurgence following a more traditional winter season. Spring has brought a flurry of activity, driven by a combination of factors that have revitalised buyer interest.

While prices have experienced some fluctuations, they have generally stabilised, with drops not as severe as initially predicted. Median house prices have rebounded to 2023 levels and are poised for further growth. With a growing number of first home buyers and investors re-entering the market, stimulating growth and confidence.

CBD suburbs have shown particularly impressive resilience, with Hobart and Launceston experiencing 9% and 18% growth, respectively, over the past 12 months. Notably, our teams are finding well-presented properties that have been priced competitively are transacting rapidly, with Hobart witnessing five properties selling in under a week over the past month. We are also seeing notable surges in mainland interest, with a 15% increase in mainland purchases compared to the previous quarter. This trend highlights the growing appeal of Tasmania as a desirable location for both lifestyle and investment purposes.

Overall, the Tasmanian property market is experiencing a positive upturn, driven by several factors that have rekindled buyer enthusiasm. With strong fundamentals and increasing demand, the state’s property landscape appears poised for continued growth and stability.
